50cc JR (For riders 4-6 years of age on any 50cc machine that meets the following guidelines:

Maximum seat heighth = 24.5", Maximum wheelbase = 36", Maximum wheel size = 10", Maximum Carb size = 14mm.)

RULES FOR ALL 50cc CLASSES: Bikes most be stock with the following exceptions: Gusseting to the frame, grips, cables, levers, handlebars, suspension springs, seats, graphics, footpegs, numberplates, clutch springs, gearing, jetting, and tires. Bikes most have stock wheel base and seat height. Most have stock exhaust including silencer. After market pistons are allowed but bore can not exceed .080 more than stock. Factory updates made to newer models will be allowed on older bikes. Exceptions for Peewee Bikes are detailed below.

 

Additional rules for 50 JR, 50 SR, 50 Open, and 50 Beginner & 50 Novice: 50cc models that are eligible for the Peewee class but are not stock for that class are allowed to change the following to run in 50 JR, 50 SR, 50 Open, and 50 Beginner: Pipes, ignitions, cylinders, intakes, carburetor, oil injectors, shocks, swingarms, and forks. On these models seat height can not exceed stock by more than 25% (example: 20” stock can not exceed 25” modified) Bore can still not exceed .080 more than stock. In Addition to 50cc machines designed specifically for competition other bikes up to 70cc designed for recreational riding will be allowed in these 50cc classes provided the rider meets the age requirements of the class. Bikes falling into this category include Honda XR 70’s and other similar machines. Please check with the referee if you have questions about additional models allowed. Honda XR 50s are allowed to keep their gear shifters on in these classes. We reserve the right to restrict other modifications on XR 50 models as we see fit. Please contact us before doing further modifications in these classes.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR 50CC CLASS PARENTS

Parents are allowed on the track while the 50cc classes are running. However if a parent interferes with racing, intentionally or not, they risk having their rider penalized and/or losing trackside privileges. Remember that your child is not the only one racing. Constantly crossing the track while racing is underway will be discouraged. Parents that verbally abuse their child or act in an unsportsman like manner will be reprimanded. Remember that racing is supposed to be fun.
